YEAR 1

Term 1: Building Foundations
Your journey begins with discovery! Through hands-on cookery, household routines, and healthy living sessions, you’ll start developing key life skills. You’ll explore the local community, build confidence using public transport, and learn about citizenship through fun, inclusive activities and events.

Term 2: Learning by Doing
Now the adventure really takes off! You’ll dive into your first work placement in one of Tiphereth’s vibrant workshops, learning teamwork and responsibility. You’ll refine your cooking, strengthen independence, and take part in community celebrations like the Advent Market.

Term 3: Growing Independence
Experience more responsibility and new challenges. You’ll complete two work placements, create more complex meals, and take greater ownership of your learning. Expect regular community outings, teamwork projects, and springtime events that celebrate your progress.

Term 4: Confidence and Connection
The summer term focuses on confidence and communication. You’ll continue to build independence in travel, cooking, and household skills, explore new hobbies, and learn self-advocacy. It’s a season of growth, both personally and socially, leading into a well-earned summer break.

Term 1: Taking the Lead
Welcome back! It’s time to put your learning into practice. You’ll revisit key skills with more independence, cooking, managing your space, and travelling in the community. You’ll also take on work-focused placements and help bring our autumn festivals to life.

Term 2: Building Experience
You’ll explore the wider world through work experience opportunities in our workshops. Trying out different roles and discovering your strengths. Inside the learning hub, you’ll continue developing skills and confidence for life after Tiphereth.

Term 3: Preparing for What’s Next
This is your time to shine! You’ll continue with work placements in our workshops, build your portfolio, and start planning for your next steps, whether that’s further study, work, or a supported pathway. Expect visits, external volunteering opportunities, and personal guidance from mentors.

Term 4: Celebration and Graduation
As the programme draws to a close, you’ll finalise your portfolio, reflect on your journey, and prepare for your next chapter. The year culminates in our graduation ceremony, where your achievements are celebrated and your future begins!
